PHILOSOPHIA

SOPHIA SAHINIDOU

Don't forget that you are a human !

The Ancient Greeks used to say : "First of all, recognize yourself." I agree with them. The first thing you must do is to recognise yourself.

That means : before you start your life, first think. You have to ask yourself what you are going to do, what you can do and, finally, what you want to do. Think carefully and try to find a good way to start, how you'll carry on and then think of a target - your target ! But ........... don't forget ! You are a human !

This means you have to stop somewhere, because there are limits. Don't try to do more and more. Don't push yourself to do something that you can't do. If you do you'll waste your time and you'll let yourself down, and this is the worst thing you can do to yourself.

If there is a start there is always an end, so live your life as well as you can. Lots of people wonder how they can improve their lives and how they will be happy and proud of what they are. There is only one solution to that problem : try hard to be something in this world. Do your best, but don't do something you can't. Tell yourself that you can't do this, but, of course, you can do something else instead. And then don't forget that there are always limits. Live your life, because time is passing. This means : try to enjoy your life. Visit the world, meet foreign people, learn about other civilisations, and simultaneously work hard.

Don't rush to do something; just do it well. Recognise yourself and your qualifications and be sure that one day you'll come up in this world. And don't forget that nobody can convince you otherwise!
