AMAZING CONSEQUENCES
....
ROXANE TINGA
Have
you ever lost something that led to the most amazing consequences? Well, I did
and it was one of the most amazing days in my life.
It
was a Friday afternoon and I had nothing to do, so I decided to go to the
centre of town to do some shopping. After searching for a lot of time, I bought
a wonderfully vivid dress. Then I bumped into my friend Helen and we sat at a
cafe, we bought something to drink and we started chatting for hours. Finally,
at half past ten we decided to go back home and to meet again in an hour. But
when I arrived at the door of my house I couldn’t find my keys. They had just
disappeared! I rang the doorbell but neither my mother nor my sister were
inside. So, I had to call my grandmother to bring me the key of our house that
she keeps for such occasions. But unfortunately, I couldn’t find my brand new
mobile phone. Oh God, I had lost it! I was very depressed and I didn’t know
what to do. The time was 11 o’clock and I would be late for the rendezvous with
Helen.
I
had no other idea except that of climbing through the open window. So I took
the ladder from the back of my house and I started climbing. Then somebody
abruptly moved the ladder and I fell to the ground. I found myself with a
broken leg, a scratch on my face and my hands tied. And what was more, I had to
go to the police station to prove that I was not a thief but the owner of the
house.
I
was interrogated for more than an hour when finally my mother arrived. She told
them the truth and dropped me off at the nearest hospital because I was in a
lot of pain. In addition, I couldn’t go to my rendezvous and Helen was
absolutely furious because I hadn’t called her to tell her what had happened.
What
a strange day it had been! Losing my keys had led to the most amazing
consequences!
